Update

We have moved a bit further away, to get a breather and to not hear the sound of Bennett’s goons continuing to trash the woodland that was our home. We are still around, and doing relatively well.
We are warmed by the wonderful support we continue to receive. Also by what we hear about the actions being taken by local people, such as keeping an eye on what Bennett’s henchmen are up to on the farm; writing letters to the council and newspapers; and apparently some are refusing to pay their council tax in protest at the so so far undisclosed amount spent on policing to facilitate the destruction.

Big love to all our friends – old and new, local and distant, who have shown support in millions of different ways.

There are so many people out there who are sick of this nonsense.

We are many, we are strong and we not going away.

  1. And those who were seen dancing were thought insane by
those who could not hear the music……
    Keep on dancing my friend.

Peace and Happy tunes to you all xxx 🍄. …. Bug & Nick

  2. This is the same old story acted out countless times before. Those with too much money , power and resources bullying those with much much less. The UK is riddled with the love of money and status. We ‘the people, allow them to do it. I and my partner will be demonstrating against this on the ‘Anti Austerity March’ in London on the 16/04/16.

  3. Dear Courtly Band. Hope you keep this valuable post going ! A friend and I walked down to the glade at Yorkley Court a couple of days ago. We took the footpath across the field, passing the security office. We were treated courteously by the staff there (me being aged, not likely to be too much of a threat !).
At this time footpath access is good. As we approached the glade we were confronted with scribbled notice boards warning of dire consequences if we strayed from the footpath !!
I don’t think I have ever been so saddened about the destruction of what I know was once a natural and beautiful spot. Several acres within this strip have been torched without very much apparent consideration or respect for the environment.
I am ex-service and certainly not a shrinking violet. I thought that my dedication to this beautiful country of ours in some small part would go towards a freedom to enjoy what should be respected by all sentient beings…….the natural beauty of our land.
I cannot express how disgusted I am.
……….In future I will think twice (at least) about trusting people like this.
